No more pencils, no more books!

Daniel and Benjamin are excited that school's finally out!  Their old school got out last week, but they had a few more days to go at their new schools.  I took them to the last day of school at their old school so that they could say goodbye one more time.

The entire second grade was signing "yearbooks" when we got there.  Benjamin walked into the room, and he was immediately surrounded by kids shouting his name and asking for his autograph.  I felt like I was with a celebrity.  He was a little overwhelmed, but he loved it.

Daniel was happy to see his old friends, too.  Amanda got even more attention than Daniel, though.  All of the girls in Daniel's class wanted to see her and hold her.

Here's a picture of my boys on the first day of school:

And on the last day:

It's weird to think back to where we were in our lives when school started last year.  Since then, we listed our house for sale, decided where to move to, started building a house, sold our old house, moved to a rental house, adopted Amanda, and moved to our new house.  By the way, Amanda is happy that the boys are out of school.  She missed them when they were gone during the day.

This is somewhat unrelated, but Daniel was happy to finish off the school year with a new tooth.  The orthodontist was finally able to fit a temporary tooth onto his braces.  It's hard to even see which tooth is fake.
