Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you all had a great day full of love!  We had a whole weekend of it.  Wayne and I went to dinner at Tepanyaki's on Friday.  Afterwards, we went to see "April Ann" at the Hale Center Theater.  Very cute play.  The kids in it were adorable.  Wayne's mom babysat, as she usually does when we go to plays at the Hale Center.

Here's our cell phone pic from Tepanyaki's:

Earlier on Friday, I helped out in Benjamin's class at school.  I was in charge of the craft, and we decorated pencils.  I figured the kids needed a craft that wasn't loaded with sugar, considering how much of it they were going to get at the party anyway.  We also helped the kids pass out the valentines.  That was challenging on a number of levels.  First, just interpreting kindergarten handwriting.  Second, some kids have really unusual names these days, and even though I have volunteered in Benjamin's class a few times, I couldn't  figure them all out   Luckily, Benjamin knows all the kids in his class, so he helped me out a lot.  And I really couldn't blame the moms who obviously wrote out their kid's valentines themselves, or left the "to" section blank.  It made my job easier.

On Saturday, Wayne and Daniel went to the BYU basketball game for their "Daddy Daniel Date."  Benjamin didn't want to go.  He loves participating in a variety of sports, but he doesn't usually have the patience to watch them.  Instead, he wants to go ice skating next week for his "Daddy Benny Date."   Daniel and Benjamin have been doing special one-on-one activities with Wayne every month or two since they were very little.  The love it.  Basically, they choose an activity and a place to eat, and Wayne takes them.  Sometimes Daniel and Benjamin both go, but usually they prefer individual time with Dad.

Today was much less exciting, especially since I spent most of the day in bed with a migraine.  I wasn't eating breakfast, so Wayne brought me a paper breakfast in bed.  The black strips are "bacon" and say "sorry I burned the bacon."  That's my silly, adorable, creative husband.  Joining in the fun, Benjamin made me a paper lunch in bed, including a pop tart.  And everyone was amazingly quiet so that I could rest until my headache went away.  I have the best family.

We love Valentine's Day!
