Visiting my Grandpa and Grandma in Idaho

Wayne had a few days off from work, so we made it a long weekend and went to visit my grandparents in Idaho. We loved seeing them! Grandpa told us some interesting stories about when he worked for the Forest Service. We also stopped by to see Aunt Susan and Uncle George in Oregon. This is a picture of us with Grandpa and Grandma, in Susan and George's backyard. They have a HUGE playground that the kids loved playing on, with a zip line, monkey bridge, and really tall swings. We also went to church with Grandpa and Grandma on Sunday, and Grandma made us a delicious chicken dinner afterwards.

We love you, Grandpa and Grandma!

After spending hours in the car, it's great to have a hotel pool to swim in. The boys went swimming every chance they got, but not on Sunday. We stayed at a couple of different hotels (Wayne found some good deals on Hotwire). When we arrived at our hotel in Boise on Sunday night, the boys wanted to check out the pool. We were in the elevator with a lady that we didn't know, but the boys started chatting with her anyway. They told her they were going to check out the pool. She said that they didn't look dressed for swimming. Benjamin said that they couldn't go swimming on Sunday. She asked him why not. Daniel replied, "Oh, because we're Mormons!" At least we know that Daniel won't be too shy to be a great missionary someday.

We stopped to see my sister Kris on the way home, and Daniel and Benjamin had fun seeing their cousins and making their own pizzas. Benjamin likes his pizza very plain, with just a little sauce and cheese, and lots of pepperoni. Daniel got a little too excited and put about a tablespoon each of garlic, Italian seasoning, and green onions on his pizza. Anyone who knows Daniel can picture that happening, I'm sure. We tried to scrape some of it off, but it still ended up too spicy for him to eat it. Of course, other people were willing to share their pizza with him, so it was ok.

This is what happens to little boys who spend all weekend visiting relatives and having a great time. We plopped them straight into their beds when we got home a little after 8:00 p.m., and they slept until about 9:00 this morning, which is crazy since they usually get up around 7:00.
